10U make it two straight blowouts!

The 10U Blue Devils go 2-0, after a 43-20 romp over the SCC Ravens.  Off the opening tip, Zamyre Middleton could hold back with an open 3-point wing jumper. Drive and kick was the name of the game for point guard Jonathan Beau.  Coach Bob Byer said “Jon-Beau was definitely in a Christmas giving mode”, watching the youngster dropping off some lovely back door passes to Nazaire Moore (12 points). Middleton and Marquis Black had 10 each, keeping any SCC rally defused throughout the game.

The boys return to the court on December 28 against St Bernard’s.

12U runs past Lions

Arriving late, the 12u team was already in a fast mode.  They ran past the SCC Lions, 50-28.

Led by Isaiah Newsome’s 15 points and Justin Beau with his playmaking and scoring (8 points, 5 assists), the team never looked back from the time they stepped in the gym.  Brandon Blair didn’t waste time, stroking a 3-point bomb off the tip. Damon Bostick and Davon Turner, off the dribble drive, scored six each.

The boys game scheduled for Dec 20, was rescheduled, so they enjoy an early holiday break.

10U romp in Season Opener

IBL runners up in 2013-14, this year’s 10u impressively won their season opener over the Sephardic Ravens, 35-16.  The fast paced “GiveNGo” offense was led by Nazaire Moore’s 10 points. 2013-14 MVP Marquis Black had 8, Jonathan Beau and Zamyre Middleton had six each. Middleton, who missed much of last season led the boys early, hitting long range missiles.

Their next game is add December 21 vs St. Bernard in Kings Plaza.

Undermanned 9u lose Season Opener

On December 7th, the Fort Greene 9u, playing short of a full team, the 9u squad lost their Seaon Opener against the Sephardic a Center a Hawks, 25-15 A great effort by the boys, led by Devin Charles, who scored 10 points.
